2012 Guy Movie Preview

Here is my 2012 Guy Movie Preview.  I have chosen one movie per month or so that looks to qualify as a proper guy movie.  These are of course subject to change as we get a better look at some of them.  Hopefully there will be a couple surprise new entries as well.

1/20: Haywire-Gina Carano as a badass spy on the run directed by Steven Soderberg.  Hell of a way to start the year

2/17:  Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengance: Never saw the first one but this is written and directed by the guys who did Crank so I might have bite the bullet. 

3/16: 21 Jump Street: Could be a good action comedy. Trailer looks funny. Has a thin Jonah Hill

4/13: Bullet to the Head: Action Piece with Sly Stallone and directed by Walter Hill of 48 hours fame.

5/4: The Avengers: Yes

6/8: Prometheus: Sci-Fi Thriller from Ridley Scott.  You might have heard of his other 2 sci-fi movies he has made: Alien and Blade Runner

6/29: GI Joe Retaliation: 1st one was barely decent.  This one has the Rock and apparently Bruce Willis, so thats an upgrade.

7/20: Dark Knight Rises: 3rd and final installment of the epic series. A must in IMAX

8/3: Bourne Legacy: No Matt Damon, but should still be a good action romp.

8/17: Expendables 2: They have added Chuck Norris and JCVD for the sequel so it has to be better, right?

9/21: Dredd: Darker reimagining of the the Judge Dredd character

10/5: Taken 2: Liam Neeson reprised his role as a badass in a sequel to the great original.

11/9: 007: Skyfall: Daniel Craig returns in his 3rd Bond.

12/21: World War Z: Brad Pitt in a Zombie apocalypse movie based on the book of the same name.

2011 Guy's Movie Year in Review

Welcome to the new and improved blog.  I will still be posting Movie info as well as guy-centric TV stuff. 

Overall I have to say 2011 was an excellent year for guy movies.  I saw 16 guy movies this year and there were only a couple I gave a score under a B.  Thanks to all the guys who joined me through the year.  A special shout out to Dilly, who joined me on all but I think 3 of these.  Hope to see more guys out in 2012.
